Why I’m on Substack, Who It’s For, & The Promise I’m Making
Thanks for swinging by. I appreciate the gift of your time and attention.
Why this? Why now?
I’ve watched friends and peers launch a Substack. I even subscribed to a few. But it wasn’t until I collided with
’s Substack that I saw an approach to Substack that works for me.Iteration and improvement of existing content.
I’ve published ten books, over 500 blog posts, 300+ podcast episodes, and over 1K videos.
This content is all good. But none of it is great.
Witnessing Nic iterate and improve his content and reshare it on Substack inspires me to do the same. Can I take my stuff and things from good to great?
We’ll see. I’m certainly betting on myself in this effort.
And I’m going all in and full out playing my game in my new endeavor, Stepping Into Possibility: Insights to Inspire a Life of Greater Intention and Impact.
Start With Who is my next book, and I’m giving subscribers an over-the-shoulder look at my process by writing it out loud and in public here on Substack.
What kind of community am I looking to build here?
I share insights that inspire intentional action for advancing and aspiring difference-makers to help them close the gap between where they are and who they want to be.

Most of what I publish here is free. Turning insights into information is how ideas spread, and ideas that spread win.

Learning that leads to meaningful change for the better doesn’t come from knowing a thing. Learning comes from doing a thing.

What can you expect?
My goal is better, not more. Quality, not quantity.
I publish insights to inspire a life of greater intention and impact every Monday and Friday. I publish Wednesday Wisdom for premium subscribers every Wednesday (of course), but free subscribers get some goodness then too.
Additional content is published when it’s a significantly improved and actionable iteration of something I created in the past or when I have something genuinely new, inspired, or insightful to post that will be helpful and useful.
The ultimate goal is to share content to be incorporated into my next book, Start With Who: Insights to Inspire a Life of Intention and Integrity.
My promised publishing tempo for free subscribers is twice a week, but it may be more often. Paid subscribers will get additional premium content at least once a week and have access to community calls and additional premium content.
