A few weeks ago, I hosted a free workshop called Coaching Business Mastery for Creative on Purpose Substack subscribers.
The premise is that most coaches, teachers, healers, and creatives who want to make a difference doing work that matters end up spending most of their time becoming digital marketers in pursuit of trying to get clients.
The workshop’s promise was that by getting clear about what you want your business to look like and building it on a few fundamental principles, you can make both a better living and a bigger difference without wasting time, attention, and effort on inefficient digital marketing tools, tactics, and strategies.
The entire replay is available for Catalyst Club members (paid subscribers) in this podcast episode, and the video replay is at the end of this article. For the rest of you, here are some highlights from the presentation (and an invitation).

The 3 Most Important Questions
The work you do matters. It matters because of the difference you make, sure. But it also matters because human beings build identity and forge meaning in their lives through the work they do.
But work is also a means to an end. We work to live, not the other way around. What kind of lifestyle do you imagine for yourself by creating a successful, prosperous business? What’s your North Star? How do you answer this question?
“I know I’m successful when I’m being__________.”
With a clearer picture of the lifestyle you want your business to fuel and fund, you must now honestly answer this question for yourself.
Am I actually good at what I do?
Nothing drives prosperity and success in business more than achieving preeminence in your craft. Are you the absolute best in the world at what you do? Probably not. But you can become really good at doing what you do in the way only you can do it (but not if you’re spending all your time on digital marketing tricks and hacks trying to convince people you’re good enough).
That’s the beauty of the Be a Blessing Marketing approach. It allows you to turn the work you love to do into your marketing. Practicing your craft out loud and in public helps refine your distinctive approach to the difference you make while putting it on display for the right prospects and leads.
Finally, as you develop your potential and deliver upon your promise in the difference only you can make, you will find yourself making decisions—lots of decisions—lots of very important decisions.
As you decide, keep your priority and path in mind and ask yourself this question.
What am I optimizing for?
If the answer doesn’t reveal that the decision you’re about to make doesn’t clearly get you closer to what you want and adequately follows your current plan, then you need to make a better decision.
The Fork In the Road

The truth is, the principles and practices I share do work but only if you’re willing to do the work.
They work for anyone who believes in themselves and their ability to do good work and trusts themselves enough to invest just a few dollars in themselves to access content and community that will catalyze their growth and achievement.
